Overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves managing financial reporting, auditing, and internal controls.  This role reports to the Corporate Controller.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor GL team ensuring they are meeting performance goals and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other tax-related documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
